Hope Alive Mission
In the crucible of Uganda, The Remnant Generation is acutely aware of the profound challenges posed by sexual violence against children in all its insidious forms. As we confront the magnitude of this crisis, we recognize that the journey to change cannot be traversed alone. It calls for a collective, committed, and organized effort—a symphony of hearts and hands working in harmony to usher in significant and lasting change.
The echoes of the times of COVID resound with harrowing reports from various districts in Uganda, painting a stark picture of the atrocities faced by our children, especially girls. Media outlets were awash with distressing narratives, revealing a deeply unsettling reality—children abused, violated, and impregnated, some shockingly by their own parents.
The Remnant Generation extends an invitation for you to connect with The Hope Alive Mission—an initiative that echoes our commitment to collaborative action. This transformative initiative is bearing the seeds of a vision to ignite a grassroots revolution. We urge churches, institutions, individuals, and leaders to join hands and recognize that only through unified efforts can we hope to unveil a future where children are shielded from the horrors of abuse and exploitation.
The initiative’s mission is more than a call to action; it is a rallying cry for transformational leaders to rise and take charge. Our focus extends beyond the immediate needs. We aim to provide a safe haven for leaders to heal from their personal wounds and the wounds of leadership. We are nurturing a space where they renew their resolve to serve with unwavering passion and become possibility thinkers.
The mission has so far been to Jinja, Kabale, Lyantonde, and Soroti. The transformation witnessed in the wake of The Hope Alive Mission is already evident in these districts. Community bylaws are being rewritten, and leaders, once shackled by the status quo, are emerging as champions of change. The transformative leadership that is taking root has a ripple effect, reaching the farthest corners of society.
In 2024, the mission is setting its sights on new horizons—Mbale, Bukedea, and Gomba.
